About Me

With a passion for photography and a determined ambition, Jeff Norman Photography was founded in 2007, when I undertook my first commercial photo shoot.

I have had an interest in photography since I got my first SLR camera for my 14th birthday.

Since then I have self-taught, by trial and error, assisted by a digestion of many photographic magazines and books, advice and practice, practice, practice!

My philosophy towards photography is simple…….the best photographs start with proper attention to detail behind the camera before the image is shot. Then there should be no need for any (or litle)  digital enhancement afterwards.

Photography to me is about being different (where possible) and I don't fixate 'Jeff Norman Photography' with one particular style.

I try to create my own style by simply being me, by taking photos that other people will enjoy looking at for years to come - and at an affordable price!

My areas of photography cover Portraits, Weddings, Events and so much more!

I have photographed over seventy weddings througout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and London.

I have had numerous photographs of local scenes published in the ‘East Anglian Daily Times’ and 'Suffolk Magazine' as well as some wildlife images used on the Wildlife Heritage Foundation website.

My wedding photography has also been featured in “Suffolk Bride & Groom” and "Pure Weddings" Magazines.

Corporate clients include Suffolk County Council,  Aqcuity Ltd., and Llewellyn Smith Ltd.

I am a member of the SWPP (The Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers).

Since May 2008, I have been awarded on three separate occasions, “Bronze Awards”  by the Society for my “Babies & Children Portraits”.

However, I do not enter photographic competitions, because there are som many much better photographers than me - so more important to me is the many comments I have received from satisfied customers who seem to like what I do, and at a fair price.

Since the customer is "always right", customer opinions are the only thing that matters to me and I am proud of the reputation I have built up over the past five years.

I am Criminal Records Bureau checked to Advanced Level,  for complete peace of mind when working with children.

I am also an “Associate Member” to the School governing body at Gislingham CEVCP school.

On 1st February 2012, I opened my portrait sudio in Harleston, Norfolk , just off the A143. (on the Suffolk / Norfolk border).
